Product Description
Genuine long-wool sheepskin with a natural suede back. Pelts are graded A+ for wool density — the difference between a sheepskin that holds its loft for years and one that mats flat inside a season.
Unlike our cowhides, sheepskins are stocked in multiples, so you can reorder the same colour and pelt count as often as you need. Order quantities are open on this page.
Single pelts suit accent chairs and bedsides. Multi-pelt pieces are sewn together for runners, nursery floors and full room coverage.

Materials & Construction
Genuine long-wool sheepskin on a natural suede back. Wool is graded A+ for density and staple length — the two things that decide whether a pelt stays lofty or mats down under traffic.
Multi-pelt pieces are stitched pelt to pelt on the suede side so the seams disappear into the wool from above.

Care & Handling
Everyday: shake the pelt out and brush with a wide-tooth metal wool brush. Brushing is what keeps the loft — a sheepskin that looks tired almost always just needs five minutes with a brush.
Spills: spot clean with a damp cloth and a wool-safe detergent. Never machine wash or tumble dry; air dry naturally away from direct heat.
First two weeks: light shedding is normal and settles quickly. Give the pelt a thorough brush on arrival to open up the wool.

Shipping
Orders placed on a business day ship same day or within 24 hours from our Palm Beach Gardens, Florida warehouse. Every shipment carries tracking.
Single and small multi-pelt sheepskins ship parcel and typically land in 2–5 business days. Oversized area rugs — roughly 8' x 11.5' and up — move by LTL freight, and the carrier will call to schedule a delivery window.
Blind shipping to your client's address is available on request — ask the trade desk before you place the order.
Returns
- Trade returns are handled per your account terms

- Damage in transit must be reported within 48 hours of delivery
Buying on a Trade Account
Pricing tiers. The price shown on this page is your current tier. Volume breaks apply automatically at checkout — you do not need a code and you do not need to call for a quote on a standard order.
Reorders. Cowhides, calf and goat are one-of-a-kind, so an exact reorder is not possible. Tell us the SKU you sold and the trade desk will pull the closest match from current stock. Sheepskins and inserts are stocked in multiples and reorder exactly.
Drop-ship. We ship direct to your client under your name on request. Flag it before the order goes in.
Resale and tax exemption. Send your resale or exemption certificate to Sales@HudsonHides.com and we will apply it to your account.
Samples. Swatches and sample pelts are available for specification work — call the trade desk.

Graded Before It Reaches You
Our buyers stand on the tannery floor and go through the run by hand. Roughly 15% of what they see is good enough to carry a Hudson Hides stamp — the rest goes to the wholesalers who sell on price.
That is the whole reason a trade account with us costs you less in the long run. You are not sorting a pallet to find the three hides you can actually put in front of a client, and you are not eating the freight on the ones you send back.
Pelt Counts and Coverage
Sheepskins are sold by pelt count, not by a nominal rug size. Use these as working figures — natural pelts vary.
- Single pelt, around 2' x 3' — accent chairs, bedsides, entryways
- Double, around 2' x 6' — runners, bench covers, long accents
- Quad, around 4' x 6' — living rooms, nurseries, reading corners
- Octo, around 6' x 7' — large living spaces, primary bedrooms
- Area rugs, 4' x 6' through 8' x 11.5' — full room coverage
Natural white runs warm — creams and ivories, not an artificial bright white. Taupe and grey read modern. Tipped pelts carry colour variation at the wool tips for depth.
